Bay Area Engagement Photography
This is basically a date. I just happen to bring a camera.
You don’t need to know how to pose or spend an hour staring lovingly into each other’s eyes. We’ll walk, talk, laugh, explore, and do things that actually feel like the two of you.
I’ll give you direction when you need it and leave plenty of room for your personalities, and your relationship, to show up.
What an engagement session feels like
You two already know how to be together. My job isn’t to turn you into professional models. It’s to give you enough direction that you feel comfortable, then get you interacting with each other instead of worrying about the camera.
We might:
-
Wander through a favorite neighborhood
-
Head to the beach or into the trees
-
Grab coffee or a drink
-
Have a picnic
-
Dance terribly
-
Recreate part of your first date
-
Bring your pup
-
Do something that is completely you
And yes, we’ll get some of the classic looking-at-the-camera shots too.

Your place
Choose somewhere meaningful.
The neighborhood where you live, the place you had your first date, your favorite hiking trail, or simply somewhere you both love spending time.

Your thing
Give yourselves something to do.
Coffee, ice cream, a picnic, hiking, cooking, records at home, your favorite bar, having an activity gives you something to focus on besides the camera.

Your people... and pets
Bring whoever belongs in the story.
If your dog is basically your child, bring them. If there's something meaningful to your relationship that you'd love included, tell me about it.
