Family sessions are relaxed, playful, and built around connection. I’ll give you enough direction so you never have to wonder what to do, then make room for everyone to settle in, have fun, and be themselves.

There isn't one right way to photograph a family.
You don't need kids who sit still. You don't need everyone smiling at the camera at the same time. And you definitely don't need to spend the entire session telling anyone to “say cheese.”
I’ll guide you when you need it, but I’m also paying attention to everything happening in between and all those tiny ways you love each other without thinking about it.

An in-home session can capture your family in the place where so much of your life actually happens.

We have some fun
I'll get you started with simple direction and prompts so nobody has to stand around wondering what to do with their hands.
Then we'll let things unfold.
We'll move. We'll play. We'll take breaks. We'll probably laugh. And if things get a little chaotic, that's usually when something good happens.
Your photographs are ready
After your session, I’ll prepare your photographs and we’ll schedule a time to look through them together.
During your viewing session:

Your finished, high-resolution photographs will be delivered through an online gallery.
No guessing which package you'll need before we've even taken the photos. You get to see your photographs first, then choose the ones you can't imagine leaving behind.
I've worked with Heidi on a few occasions (for baby and family photos), and she is an absolutely wonderful and extremely talented photographer.
